Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance & Remodel Technician to work as a 1099 subcontractor with our residential and multi-family property management team in Licking County, Ohio . This is a great opportunity for an experienced independent contractor who wants consistent work performing a mix of maintenance, repairs, renovations, and unit turns .

Key Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across single-family and multi-family rental properties.

Diagnose and repair issues in:

HVAC systems (basic service, troubleshooting, seasonal maintenance) Electrical systems (fixtures, outlets, breakers, minor wiring) Plumbing (leaks, faucets, drains, water heaters) General construction (drywall, painting, flooring, carpentry, finish work) Complete unit turns and remodels, including demolition and installation work. Conduct property inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards. Communicate with the property management team regarding work orders, project timelines, and materials. Maintain clean, safe job sites and follow applicable codes and safety standards. Track and report time and materials used per job for invoicing.

Requirements:

Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in residential property maintenance, remodeling, and general construction. Working knowledge of HVAC , electrical , plumbing , and finish carpentry . Must have reliable transportation (truck or van preferred). Must own a standard set of basic tools appropriate for maintenance and remodeling tasks. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently. Strong communication and organizational skills. Must carry appropriate liability insurance (or be willing to obtain).
