Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Garage Door Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of garage doors and related hardware. Your expertise will ensure that each installation is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a wide range of tools and techniques, and contribute to the safety and functionality of residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities Install new garage doors, including hanging doors, attaching hardware, and ensuring proper alignment using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques Perform repairs on existing garage doors, addressing issues such as broken springs, damaged panels, or faulty openers Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans Conduct welding and metal fabrication as needed for custom door components or reinforcement projects Utilize construction site experience to safely operate heavy machinery, lift heavy materials, and adhere to safety protocols Complete fixture installation, lock systems, electrical wiring (where applicable), and trim carpentry for seamless finishes Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects involving metal stud framing, cabinetry, or electrical upgrades related to garage door systems Qualifications Proven experience in construction or remodeling environments with a focus on door hanging or fixture installation Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading Strong mechanical knowledge related to garage door components such as springs, tracks, rollers, and openers Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on job sites Skilled in glass installation (for certain door types), caulking, locksmithing or lock installation is a plus Experience with blueprint reading and fabrication techniques for custom projects Knowledge of electrical systems related to garage door openers or security features is preferred Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to deliver top-tier garage door solutions!
