Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment. Your expertise will help create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff alike. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems. Repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment using schematics, hand tools, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters. Maintain building interior including painting, carpentry repairs, and facilities equipment maintenance to uphold aesthetic standards. Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal climate control throughout the property. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems troubleshooting and repairs. Use welding skills for metal repairs or fabrication tasks as needed. Follow safety protocols while working with electrical systems, plumbing systems, and heavy machinery; maintain accurate maintenance logs. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building operations within a hospitality or residential setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing electrical equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and building interior components. Familiarity with schematics, electrical work, plumbing repair techniques, and the use of hand tools. Experience working with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) procedures in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest satisfaction. Leadership qualities to coordinate maintenance tasks efficiently while ensuring safety standards are met.
