Full-Time, Monday-Thursday, 10-Hour Shifts Join Our Plant Transition Team! We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team during an exciting period of growth and facility relocation. This position will begin at our current facility in Elk Grove Village, Illinois , where employees will work four 10-hour shifts per week (Monday through Thursday) for approximately 2 to 3 months . Following this transition period, our operations will relocate to Seville, Ohio , and employees will continue their employment at the new facility. Candidates must be willing to work in Elk Grove Village during the transition and relocate to Seville, Ohio once the move is complete. Employees who successfully support the transition and remain employed through the relocation will receive a guaranteed transition bonus, paid within their first year of employment. Travel & Relocation Support To support employees during the temporary assignment in Illinois, the company will provide: Hotel accommodations while working in the Elk Grove Village area Mileage reimbursement at the current federal mileage rate Food stipend during the temporary assignment Guaranteed transition bonus paid within the first year of employment upon successful relocation to Seville, Ohio Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting industrial manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. This role requires strong mechanical skills, the ability to diagnose equipment issues, and experience performing preventative maintenance on production machinery. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, self-motivated, and comfortable working closely with production and plant leadership to maximize equipment uptime and reliability. Essential Responsibilities Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of industrial manufacturing machines and equipment. Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues to minimize equipment downtime. Read and interpret machine diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation. Perform preventative maintenance activities on production equipment. Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and equipment improvements. Conduct light electrical troubleshooting and machine wiring repairs as needed. Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance concerns before failures occur. Maintain maintenance records and documentation. Partner with Plant Management to develop, manage, and execute the facility's Preventive Maintenance (PM) program. Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and maintenance standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve machine reliability and production efficiency. Qualifications Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret machine diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings. Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery. Basic electrical troubleshooting and wiring experience within industrial equipment. Knowledge of preventative maintenance principles and programs. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience maintaining manufacturing or steel rule production equipment. Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Experience supporting preventative maintenance software or maintenance tracking programs. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Ability to work around moving machinery and production equipment.
