Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking qualified Die Maintenance Technicians to join the team of a tier-one automotive stamping and assembly supplier! In this role, you will assist in the maintenance and upkeep of mass production tooling at the Springfield, OH facility. Required Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 2-year degree in Tool and Die Technology plus 2 years of on-the-job experience, or documented die maintenance experience in an automotive metal stamping facility in lieu of a degree Ability to read mechanical drawings Crane experience Ability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends Stable work history with good attendance Ability to work effectively in a team environment Must pass a written qualifications test, followed by a hands-on skills test upon successful completion Preferred Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or Microsoft Office (a plus, not required) Day-to-Day Responsibilities Follow standard operating procedures for die maintenance and safety Repair and maintain progressive and transfer tooling used in mass production stamping Weld and repair tool steels Perform hand grinding on dies and tooling components Support mass production by keeping tooling in efficient working condition Physical and Environment Requirements Physical expectations and working conditions associated with the job may include: standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 25-50 lbs depending on role & other work that may be performed in a manufacturing, warehouse, or office environment.
