Maintenance Technician - Industrial Manufacturing (Automotive)

Location:

Springfield, OH (On-site | Relocation Not Available)

Shift:

2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) 3rd Shift (10:00PM-6:00AM)

Direct Hire Job Summary:

We are partnering with a Tier 1 automotive manufacturer to hire a Maintenance Technician supporting a high-volume production facility. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining and troubleshooting critical production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, working knowledge of electrical systems, and a reliable, team-oriented mindset. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Perform a balanced mix of preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive/breakdown repairs (~50/50)

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

Maintain and support stamping presses and related production equipment

Respond to maintenance work orders to minimize downtime and support production

Assist with continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives

Follow all plant safety procedures and standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing environment preferred)

Strong mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills

Experience working with industrial equipment, tools, and systems

Proven reliability and attendance record

Positive attitude and ability to work in a team-based environment

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Experience in metal stamping or heavy manufacturing environments

Exposure to hydraulics, pneumatics, or robotic systems

Experience supporting high-volume production equipment

Compensation & Growth

Pay determined through a written technical assessment:

Mechanical

Electrical

Robotic fundamentals

Regular pay progression opportunities through skill advancement and re-testing

Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours

Shift premium included (Shift Premium $0.30)

Schedule & Work Environment

Standard schedule: 40 hours/week

Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) rotation

Additional overtime available based on production needs Work environment includes: Industrial manufacturing setting

Exposure to heavy machinery and production equipment

PPE required (steel-toe boots, etc.)

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs as needed

Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, and moving equipment
