Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. This role is vital in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting complex systems, and executing repairs across various mechanical, electrical, and facility-related areas. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach, technical expertise, and a passion for maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to support equipment or structural needs. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately. Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems and ensure proper operation of manufacturing processes. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Lead or supervise maintenance projects, including coordinating work schedules, supervising technicians or contractors, and ensuring safety compliance. Execute residential painting tasks when required to support facility aesthetics or minor repairs. Support facilities maintenance efforts by managing plumbing, HVAC systems, lighting, and general building upkeep. Ensure compliance with safety standards by following procedures related to electrical work, welding, and equipment handling. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for maintenance assistance. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong mechanical background. Proficiency in electrical work including wiring, troubleshooting circuits, and reading schematics; experience with PLCs is highly desirable. Skilled in welding techniques for repair or fabrication tasks. Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, and building infrastructure maintenance. Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams or projects is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork collaboration. Hands-on experience with tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment used in troubleshooting electrical issues. Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus but not required.
