Job Description

Millis Transfer is growing and hiring; seeking hard-working individuals to join our team. Currently, we are seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician for our Trenton, OH shop. This is an entry-level position; seeking applicants with a great attitude and a willingness to learn. Description Preventative Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for the maintenance of the company-owned tractors and trailers. Millis Transfer runs a late model fleet of trucks and trailers. Our mechanics are tasked with maintaining this fleet and performing all aspects of preventative maintenance to keep our drivers moving safely. Millis Transfer has locations across the country and offers opportunity for career growth and advancement. Accountabilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Preventative maintenance including oil changes, brakes, tires, grease, filters, minor electrical, basic welding and general trailer repair.
  • Logging completed work in to the computer.
  • Serving our drivers with a high degree of customer service.
  • Maintaining inventory of parts.
  • Other general shop duties as required, such as clean-up. Job Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of vehicle preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and drive results under provided guidelines
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced, service driven environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Driver license is required.
