Our client, the U.S.'s largest commercial real estate services firm, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician to support building operations at an acute care hospital in Urbana, OH . This 3-month contract position will be responsible for completing maintenance work orders, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, and supporting the hospital's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems. This is a great opportunity for a well-rounded maintenance professional who is comfortable working independently and as part of a small team. Because this is an active healthcare environment, the ideal candidate will have a highly professional attitude and understand the importance of providing excellent service while working around patients, hospital staff, and other healthcare personnel. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM with overtime available. What You'll Do Complete assigned maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential maintenance issues. Change air filters and perform basic HVAC maintenance. Inspect and maintain fans, motors, pumps, and related mechanical equipment. Perform basic plumbing repairs and maintenance. Perform basic electrical repairs and maintenance. Complete general carpentry and building maintenance tasks. Support life safety maintenance activities throughout the facility. Assist with installation, repair, and modification of building equipment and systems. Review assigned work orders and accurately document completed work. Help ensure building systems and equipment are operating safely and efficiently. Follow all applicable safety procedures, building requirements, and hospital protocols. Communicate clearly and professionally with hospital staff, coworkers, and other personnel. Respond to maintenance needs while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned. What You'll Need High School Diploma or
GED. 2-4
years of general maintenance or building engineering experience. Well-rounded maintenance experience across multiple building systems. Basic plumbing skills. Basic electrical skills. Basic HVAC knowledge and maintenance experience. General carpentry skills. Ability to troubleshoot routine maintenance issues and determine appropriate solutions. Ability to work effectively as part of a small team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer skills. Ability to follow established procedures and safety requirements. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs. Nice-to-Have Skills Advanced mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC experience. Experience working in a hospital, healthcare, or other highly regulated facility. Experience with preventive maintenance programs or CMMS/work order systems.

$25.00 - $27.95 per hour
