Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

First and Foremost - Support a Safety Culture by: Advance plants safety culture through improving equipment reliability and eliminate upset conditions.

Interacting and coordinating with plant operations to design and implement safety improvement projectsParticipating in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant.

Equipment Maintenance:

Supports the maintenance department in all the phases of maintenance, both facility and equipment.

Strong mechanical skills which include pneumatic, hydraulic, rotating equipment and motor/drive train.

Strong electrical skills which include 480V, control voltage, PLC troubleshooting and sensor installation.

Experience with safety systems such as gate lock, relay or guarding.

Ability to read all types of blueprints and schematics.

Proficient with electrical trouble shooting meters.

Proficient in problem solving and troubleshootingSupport Production and offer suggestions to reduce equipment downtime and improve Overall Equipment efficiencyRecord all necessary maintenance recordkeeping through the CMMS systemsAssist in training technical aspects of equipment operation

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 yrs of prior experience as a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician working with similar equipment.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
