Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our sign manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC routing equipment to cut, route, drill, and fabricate components used in the production of commercial signage. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with computers and production equipment, and able to accurately interpret drawings, dimensions, and work orders. Experience within the sign industry is preferred but not required. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC routers and related fabrication equipment. Load CNC programs and verify correct files, tooling, materials, and machine settings before production. Cut and route materials including aluminum, ACM, acrylic, polycarbonate, PVC, HDU, wood, and other sign-related substrates. Read and interpret shop drawings, production drawings, dimensions, and work orders. Select and change router bits and tooling appropriate for each material and application. Accurately measure materials and finished components using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring equipment. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet drawings, dimensions, and quality standards. Perform basic machine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and troubleshooting. Identify material or programming issues before running production whenever possible. Organize completed parts and properly identify them for the next stage of production. Minimize material waste through proper setup and efficient material utilization. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow company safety procedures and proper equipment operating practices. Communicate production issues, material shortages, or equipment problems to supervisors. Assist other fabrication and production departments as needed. Qualifications CNC router or CNC machining experience preferred. Sign manufacturing, metal fabrication, woodworking, or similar manufacturing experience is a plus. Ability to read shop drawings, blueprints, and dimensional specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills. Ability to accurately use a tape measure and other measuring tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a production team. Dependable attendance and ability to meet production schedules. Willingness to learn new equipment, materials, and manufacturing processes. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive manufacturing tasks. Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around machinery, dust, noise, and fabrication equipment.
