GRDA is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Technician III (Mechanical) at its Grand River Energy Center (GREC), located just thirty (30) miles east of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Technician III (Mechanical) provides technical expertise as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team responsible for power generation facilities.

Reports to the area Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Installs, adjusts, inspects, maintains, and repairs a variety of mechanical equipment and mechanical parts of electrical machinery utilized in an electrical power station. Overhauls and adjusts turbines, generators, boilers, pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and auxiliary equipment. Some examples of auxiliary equipment are: Lube Oil Pumps, Compressors, Chemical Feed Pumps, and fan motors. Inspects, repairs and maintains all plant support equipment. Odd shifts and after-hours work may be required under system emergency. Creates, organizes, and maintains records for assigned oversight areas of the department(s). Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Applicant will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience performing skilled maintenance as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician at a generation or large industrial facility and completion of a two-year course of study in a technical discipline at a recognized trade, technical or vocational school, or accredited college, or a combination of education/experience. Additional preference given for training and direct experience with advanced class combustion turbines. Valid Oklahoma driver's license, or the ability to convert within 30 days for those with an out of state driver's license that are an Oklahoma resident.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES REQUIRED
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Must be safety oriented. Excellent knowledge of power generation systems maintenance, including but not limited to turbines, generators, boilers, hrsg, pumps, compressors, fans, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors, Gearboxes, Cylinders, Rams. Use of hand tools, pneumatic/hydraulic tools, torches, welders, forklift, manlift, backhoe. Functional competency with personal computers; experience with Maximo, TK Pro, Excel, Access, and Word. Must be capable of methodical analysis of complex technical problems. Must possess and demonstrate excellent writing and composition skills. Ability to read, interpret and carry out complex written and oral instructions. Highly motivated with a willingness to work extended hours when necessary, this includes scheduled overtime and emergency callouts to support the plant.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to walk, climb stairs, crawl, work from ladders and elevated platforms. Must not have a fear of heights, confined spaces, or working around high voltage equipment. Ability to lift, move, and carry weights of up to 50 lb. on an irregular basis. Must possess mental, visual, and auditory acuity for attention to visual and auditory detail. Manual dexterity is required for operation of test equipment, small tools, and the installation, adjustment, and repair of equipment.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS & SAFETY CONCERNS
Work locations range from an office environment to outdoors and/or indoors in a high noise/high temperature environment with possible work in confined spaces. Emergency repair work may be required during system upsets.
