Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Hotel Preventative Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation and safety of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, diagnosing issues, and performing preventative maintenance across various building systems. Duties Perform regular inspections of building interior systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate. Conduct preventative maintenance on facilities equipment such as HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and building interior fixtures using schematics and technical manuals. Repair or replace electrical components, wiring, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures utilizing hand tools and electrical equipment repair techniques. Maintain HVAC systems by troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing components like filters, fans, thermostats, and compressors to ensure optimal climate control. Execute plumbing system maintenance including leak repairs, pipe replacements, drain cleaning, and fixture servicing to prevent disruptions. Perform carpentry tasks such as repairing doors, windows, cabinetry, or drywall to uphold the building's interior quality standards. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using schematics and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) procedures for compliance and reporting purposes. Support customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or guests to ensure their comfort and safety. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance with a focus on preventative care in a hospitality or commercial environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, electrical work, plumbing maintenance, carpentry, and welding. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and electrical equipment repair tools such as ohmmeters. Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent understanding of building interior maintenance standards Effective communication skills for clear documentation and team collaboration. Knowledge of residential painting techniques for aesthetic upkeep of the property's interior spaces. Ability to troubleshoot complex issues involving HVAC systems (including HVAC system repair), electrical circuits, plumbing systems (including plumbing system maintenance), and mechanical components.
