Job Description

Job Summary A Maintenance Technician at a truss manufacturing plant is responsible for the upkeep and repair of all machinery and equipment used to produce trusses and other items.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and repair of production equipment and facility electrical systems to minimize downtime, ensure safe operations, and maintain compliance with applicable electrical codes, company policies, and safety standards. (IMPORTANT)
  • Regularly inspecting and servicing all machinery and equipment according to manufacturer guidelines, including lubrication, cleaning, and component replacements.
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues with equipment, identifying faulty parts, and making necessary repairs and adjustments.
  • Troubleshooting electrical wiring, motor controls, and pneumatic systems used in the manufacturing process.
  • Understanding technical drawings and specifications to properly maintain and repair equipment.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of measuring tools and equipment used in the production process.
  • Ordering and maintaining stock of replacement parts for machinery.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures when working on machinery.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical training or vocational school certificate in a maintenance-related field.
  • Prior truss manufacturing plant experience.
