What You'll Do Printing vinyl, banners, posters, decals, and other large-format graphics Laminating printed graphics Trimming printed materials by hand using rulers, straightedges, knives, and cutting tools Weeding and applying computer-cut vinyl lettering and graphics Mounting vinyl and printed graphics to plastic and other sign substrates Installing grommets and finishing vinyl banners Assembling signs and promotional materials Inspecting finished work for accuracy and quality Packaging completed signs and banners for shipment Preparing and labeling shipments for multiple locations Keeping the production area, equipment, tools, and materials organized Helping maintain inventory of vinyl, banner material, substrates, and production supplies What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Is dependable and shows up ready to work Pays close attention to measurements, spelling, quantities, and details Is comfortable working with their hands Can follow written instructions and production specifications Is patient and careful when performing precision work Can work independently once trained Takes responsibility for the quality of their finished work Is comfortable standing and working at a production table for extended periods Can safely use utility knives and other hand tools Can lift and move rolls of material, boxes, signs, and production supplies Experience in a sign shop, print shop, screen-printing operation, vinyl graphics shop, packaging department, fabrication shop, or similar production environment is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person. Experience operating wide-format printers, laminators, vinyl cutters, or applying vinyl graphics is a definite plus.
