The Multi-Craft Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and systems. This role requires expertise in both mechanical and electrical disciplines, with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement.
SIGN ON BONUS
$3000 payable $1500 at 3 months and $1500 at 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems. Troubleshoot and repair motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and other plant equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical wiring, control systems, and mechanical components. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability. Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance role. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, etc.) and electrical systems (480V, 3-phase, controls, PLCs). Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively. Familiarity with CMMS systems and basic computer skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Work Environment:
Must be able to work in a hot, cold, noisy, and dusty industrial environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
