FACILITY HANDYMAN / MAINTENANCE TECH
Job Description
FACILITY HANDYMAN / MAINTENANCE TECH
Rise | Licensed Climate-Controlled Agriculture Facility | Piedmont, Oklahoma Full-time, on-site | Starting at $20/hourIF YOU CAN FIX IT, WE WANT YOU
We are not looking for a certified HVAC specialist. We are looking for a genuine handyman- the person friends and family call when something breaks, because you have never met a problem you could not take apart and put back together.
WHAT THE JOB ACTUALLY IS
Electrical:
lighting circuits and fixtures, drivers and ballasts, motors, switches, outlets, panel-level troubleshooting. You can read a meter and find the fault.Plumbing:
supply and drain lines, pumps, valves, fittings, water heaters, fixtures. You find the leak before it becomes damage.- Water and irrigation: mainlines and laterals, emitters and drippers, filters, solenoids and zone valves, timers and controllers. Flush and descale on a schedule.
- Climate and airflow: filters, belts, coils, drains, condensate lines, fans, dehumidifiers, sensor checks and calibration. You do not need to be an HVAC tech. You need to keep the equipment clean, serviced, and running, and know when a specialist gets called.
- Ladders and heights: fixtures, ductwork, ceiling-mounted equipment. Comfortable is the minimum. Sure-footed is better.
- General building repair: doors and hardware, drywall, mounting equipment, welding or fabrication if you have it.
- Preventative maintenance on a written schedule, not after the failure.
- Keeping the shop, the tools, and the spare parts organized and audit-ready.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Your own tools. This is not negotiable
- a real set, and you know how to use them. We supply the specialty gear and materials; you bring the hand tools, cordless tools, meters, and the truck box.
- Broad hands-on experience. Residential, commercial, industrial, farm, rental property, self-employed handyman work
- it all counts. What matters is range and results, not a certificate.
- The instinct to fix rather than escalate. Most of what breaks here does not need a contractor. It needs someone who will figure it out.
- Reliability. When climate equipment goes down, the clock is running. We need to know you will pick up and show up.
- Current Oklahoma employee credential for a licensed facility, or the ability to get one before you start. We will walk you through it and cover costs.
- Two professional references who are not related to you.
- Ability to lift more than 25 lbs regularly, and to stand, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and consistent, on-time attendance.
WHY THIS ONE IS WORTH LOOKING AT
- You are not a number on a crew. You are the person who keeps this facility running, and everyone here will know it.
- Real variety. Nobody is putting you on the same repetitive task for eight hours.
- Room to grow. If you want certifications, we will help you get them. If you want to build out a maintenance program from scratch, this is that job.
- Starting at $20 an hour, with raises tied to what you actually bring and what you learn here
- not to a calendar.
- Full-time, steady, year-round.
COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE
- Full-time, on-site in Piedmont, Oklahoma.
- Starting at $20 per hour.
