Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment. You must be able to use a variety of tools and diagnostic devices and have a keen understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Our ideal candidate has a solid understanding of industrial machinery and its safe operation and agrees to be compliant with safety procedures, rules, regulations and protocols.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with assembling and installing new production equipment. Servicing and maintaining equipment, including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure the machines continue to run smoothly. Inspect and assess the functionality of production machines. Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment. Replace worn-out parts, fix malfunctioning machinery, inspect and test machine operation and make necessary adjustments. Some electrical is a plus•work to include troubleshooting, checking/changing fuses, resetting starters and breakers, unwiring/wiring up to 5 hp motors. Develop and/or follow maintenance plans and maintain accurate records of all activities. Work closely with other maintenance staff, production teams and management to ensure equipment operates at peak performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be authorized to legally work in the United States. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; certificate or associate degree in a technical field is a plus. 2+ years' Industrial maintenance/mechanic experience required. Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Good manual dexterity and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures Good communication and team working skills. Some industrial electrical experience is preferred. Boiler Certification and/or Welding Certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time. Ability to bend, reach at, below and above shoulder level. Ability to lift, carry, twist, push and/or pull more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying a minimum of 50 pounds. Visual acuity required to perform job duties safely and effectively. Ability to hear and respond to verbal instructions, alarms, and other sounds. Ability to work at all heights. Required to comply with correct and proper use of Personal Protective Gear (PPE).
Working Environment:
Exterior and interior ambient temperatures. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving machinery in a production environment. The noise level in the work environment is loud and requires approved and provided hearing protection. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
Compensation:
Salary Range $25.13•$29.04 / hour Trainee period•90 days
Work Schedule:
Hours per day: 8 to 12 Days per week: 5 to 6 (occasional Sundays•paid at 2x regular rate of pay) Mandatory overtime (Varies with production schedule) Must be open to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift (shifts can vary)
