Job Title:
Facility Maintenance Technician.Overview:
Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, painting, machine servicing, electrical or vehicle servicing under close supervision. Is knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in the above-mentioned areas. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Duties /Responsibilities:
Performs a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services. Schedules and completes the Preventative Maintenance Program. Provides technical guidance/direction to other maintenance personnel. Coordinates special projects as directed by the supervisor. Installs/replaces light bulbs, cabinets, painting, replace pumps, other production equipment. Responsible for alerting Supervisor of any unusual occurrences and/or damage that may have taken place or might occur. Maintains a professional courteous manner with all vendors and contractors. Assures safety standards are used. Complies with all safety policies and procedures. Awareness of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards. Performs other duties as required and assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers. Knowledge of general carpentry and repair. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office.Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent is required, as well as related post high school education/training. Requires 2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Experience in Chemical manufacturing industry a plus.Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
Prolonged periods standing and walking, working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping. Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairs, walk on high elevation grating, work in inclement weather, work around loud industrial equipment, and work outdoors with reasonable accommodations. Must be physically able to bend or crawl into awkward spaces. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Visual acuity to read instructions and operate machinery. Outdoor exposure and seasonal extreme heat. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on an as needed basis.Safety Sensitive Position:
