This role is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in problem-solving, and is committed to creating safe and supportive environments for the individuals we serve. Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all residential properties are safe, functional, and compliant with applicable licensing and regulatory requirements. This position performs a wide variety of construction, repair, maintenance, and landscaping duties while supporting program operations across multiple locations. Reporting to the Business Manager and working closely with the Lead Maintenance Technician, this role requires strong technical skills, independence, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Key Responsibilities Perform a wide variety of construction, maintenance, repair, and landscaping tasks Complete preventative maintenance and property improvement projects Purchase, pick up, assemble, deliver, and install furniture, appliances, and equipment Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and effectively Ensure residential homes remain compliant with Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) and licensing requirements Maintain accurate records, invoices, receipts, and timesheets Participate in scheduled staff meetings and department communications Follow established on-call rotation schedules to address urgent maintenance needs Coordinate with program staff, vendors, and contractors as needed Assist with additional facility and operational needs as assigned Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a construction, maintenance, or related field Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record Ability to pass state and federal background checks, including Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) Criminal History requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Must own and maintain a variety of hand tools and properly functioning power tools Preferred Skills & Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas: Carpentry Plumbing Electrical repairs Concrete work Flooring installation and repair Painting Roofing Insulation Landscaping and grounds maintenance Desired Competencies Successful candidates will demonstrate: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team Professional and respectful verbal and written communication Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism Ability to interact effectively with staff, clients, vendors, and community partners Flexibility to manage changing priorities and respond to urgent maintenance needs Alignment with Clarvida's Core Values of Compassion, Inclusion, Accountability, Advocacy, and Resilience Compensation & Benefits Full-Time Employees Competitive compensation Paid vacation that increases with tenure Separate sick leave with annual rollover Up to 10 paid holidays• Medical, dental, and vision insurance options DailyPay access to earned wages before payday• Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Benefits for All Employees 401(k) retirement plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Pet insurance Mileage reimbursement Cell phone stipend National discounts on shopping, travel, entertainment, and Verizon services Free licensure supervision (where applicable) Benefit availability may vary by state or county.
