Obtain Contact Information Job Summary The Property Maintenance Technician at Powellhurst Place Apartments is responsible for maintaining apartments, common areas, and grounds in a clean, safe, and well-maintained condition. This position performs repairs, preventative maintenance, apartment turnovers, grounds upkeep, and janitorial duties while providing quality service to residents. Reports to the Property Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Complete maintenance work orders promptly and document work in Yardi.
  • Perform general repairs including painting, carpentry, wall repair, minor plumbing, electrical, heating, and air conditioning.
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain the overall condition and appearance of the property.
  • Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including cleaning, repairs, securing units, and bed bug treatment as directed.
  • Maintain grounds and common areas, including lawns, landscaping, parking areas, and trash removal.
  • Provide on-call maintenance services and respond to emergencies as required.
  • Report safety concerns, hazards, and property conditions to management.
  • Complete incident/accident reports when needed.
  • Complete 504 Self Evaluation repairs and assigned maintenance.
  • Prepare and submit Purchase Orders for approval.
  • Participate in unit inspections with the Property Manager.
  • Monitor vendor and contractor work as needed.
  • Complete assigned training.
  • Follow fair housing laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or building trade experience preferred.
  • Two years of skilled maintenance experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of building repairs, maintenance tools, and equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for work orders, email, and web-based systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive for property-related needs.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, climb, and walk extensively as required by the position.

None.

Indoor and outdoor environments.

Non-Commercial Drivers License Compensation $27.00 to $29.00 per Hour Depending on Experience
