Job Description

Mid Oregon Personnel is seeking a motivated and qualified Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team in Redmond, OR . In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our residential community remains safe, operational, and a high-quality place for our residents to call home. Job Description We are looking for a reliable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to oversee the physical upkeep of our apartment community on a part-time basis. You will handle routine work orders, troubleshoot repair needs, and prepare vacant units for new move-ins. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on problem solving, takes pride in a job well done, and delivers excellent customer service to our residents.
Responsibilities Work Orders:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve daily maintenance requests from residents involving plumbing, electrical, and minor appliance repairs.
Apartment Turnovers:
Efficiently prepare vacant units for new occupants (turns), including drywall patching, light carpentry, caulking, and touch-up painting.
HVAC & Systems Maintenance:
Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units.
Grounds & Safety Keeping:
Conduct regular structural inspections of common areas, exterior gates, and walkways to proactively address safety hazards or building code concerns.
Resident Communication:
Provide friendly, professional service when entering apartments and follow up on completed tasks to verify satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational trade training.
Technical Skills:
Strong working knowledge of basic plumbing (sinks, toilets), basic electrical (fixtures, outlets), and standard hand/power tools.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Availability:
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the property.
