Job Description

Composite Approach is a growing, AS9100 and ITAR certified, contract composite manufacturer located in beautiful Central Oregon. Role Summary This is a 50/50 Janitorial and Maintenance position responsible for keeping our office, warehouse, shop, and facility clean, organized, safe, and well-maintained. The position will assist the Facilities Manager with general maintenance, repairs, light construction, facility improvements, and day-to-day facility needs. This is also a hands-on shop support position that includes driving for company needs, hauling materials, operating dump trailers, and taking on various tasks with direction and light supervision. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated individual who sees what needs to be done, takes pride in their work, and strives to accomplish as much as possible each day.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Janitorial & Facility:
  • Clean and maintain offices, warehouse, shop, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas
  • Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, wipe surfaces, clean windows, and empty trash/recycling/cardboard
  • Restock supplies and maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas ( MOCS )
  • Perform light yard work, snow removal, and other seasonal facility needs
Maintenance & Construction:
Assist the Facilities Manager with general maintenance and facility projects Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance Assist with light construction, painting, drywall, shelving, furniture, doors, fixtures, and other facility improvements Identify and communicate maintenance issues Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas
Shop Support:
Drive company vehicles for shop and facility needs Pick up and deliver materials, supplies, parts, and other items Safely operate and pull dump trailers Operate a scissor lift as needed Assist with loading/unloading and other shop or facility tasks Take direction and complete tasks with light supervision Be flexible and willing to take on whatever task is needed to support the team Required Skills and Attributes Prior janitorial, maintenance, facilities, construction, or related experience required Mechanical Skills Valid driver's license in good standing Ability to lift 50 lbs Experience or strong aptitude in general maintenance and light construction Willingness and ability to operate a scissor lift Ability to safely operate and pull trailers, including dump trailers Self-motivated and able to work independently Strong work ethic and excellent time management Drive to continuously improve yourself and your skills Drive to accomplish as much as reasonably possible each day Ability to follow directions and complete tasks with light supervision Reliable, punctual, and dependable Great attitude and willingness to help wherever needed Ability to work safely around dust, noise, machinery, and changing temperatures Position requires access to controlled technical data. Compensation:
$23-$26 an hour
