3005085218-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Residence Inn Salem, an extended-stay Marriott hotel in Salem, OR, seeks a Maintenance and Engineering team member to keep our property safe, comfortable, and guest-ready. In this role, you'll perform routine and preventive maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, and building systems, including basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs. You will quickly respond to guest service requests, support pool and fitness equipment upkeep, and maintain accurate logs and work orders. Working closely with hotel teams, you'll ensure a welcoming, reliable environment that reflects our professional, guest-focused culture. Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on hotel guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house equipment Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues promptly and safely Conduct regular property inspections to identify and resolve maintenance needs Coordinate with front desk and housekeeping to respond quickly to guest service requests Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory of tools and supplies Ensure all work complies with safety, OSHA, and brand standards Support pool, fitness center, and building systems upkeep (lighting, doors, locks, alarms) Assist with vendor coordination for specialized repairs and inspections Respond to after-hours or emergency maintenance situations as needed Help maintain a clean, organized workshop and mechanical areas Required Skills Hotel maintenance HVAC basics Plumbing repair Electrical troubleshooting Appliance repair Preventive maintenance Safety and OSHA compliance Work order management Pool and spa upkeep Hand and power tools
