Job Description

The Altoona Grand Hotel is a 215-room independent boutique property and Blair County's only full-service hotel and conference center. We're looking for a skilled, dependable Maintenance Technician to help keep our guest rooms, public spaces, and event venues in top condition. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, corridors, lobby, meeting spaces, and back-of-house Respond to work orders and guest requests, and document completed work Repair HVAC units, plumbing, electrical, doors, locks, and furniture Handle drywall, painting, and finish touch-ups Assist with property renovations, including room refreshes and suite upgrades Set up banquets and conferences, including staging, lighting, and equipment Maintain pool, fitness, and mechanical equipment Follow safety procedures and keep the property secure Report room status, recurring issues, and supply needs Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors Qualifications 2+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality, healthcare, or multi-unit property Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair Ability to read work orders, prioritize tasks, and work independently Strong communication skills and a guest-friendly attitude Ability to lift 100 lbs, stand, climb ladders, and work on your feet for extended periods Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed Valid driver's license and reliable transportation HVAC certification, EPA 608, or trade credentials a plus
Pay:
$19.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
