Job Description
Overview 2 open positions - Manheim and New Holland PA Join our dynamic team as an Apartment Maintenance Technician and play a vital role in ensuring our residential communities are safe, functional, and welcoming. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of building systems and appliances, addressing resident requests promptly, and ensuring the overall upkeep of our properties. Your expertise will help create a positive living environment where residents feel valued and cared for. This paid position offers the opportunity to utilize your skills in facilities maintenance while making a tangible difference in residents' lives. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to appliances, fixtures, doors, locks, and lighting with precision and efficiency. Conduct residential painting, and other carpentry tasks to maintain property aesthetics and safety standards. Read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose problems and implement effective solutions. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical or mechanical faults. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities. Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance or residential property upkeep with a strong mechanical background. Knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing repairs, appliance repair, drywall and finishing work, light carpentry. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English. A positive and proactive attitude is essential. Ability to work independently and / or part of a team. Must be able to follow directions provided by the Property Manager with regards to prioritizing work and preparing homes for the next resident. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces safely. Pay:
$24.00 - $25.50 per hourBenefits:
