Job Description

The Drexel Group is hiring for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic II in Camp Hill, PA. Looking for candidates who can work a 1st shift schedule (6:00 AM-2:30 PM) until the training and evaluation process has been successfully completed. After training, the position will move to a rotating schedule consisting of: 1st
Shift:
6:00 AM-2:30
PM Split Shift:
9:00 AM-5:00 PM 2nd
Shift:
2:30 PM-11:00 PM
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains safe working environment by abiding by all rules and regulations of the manufacturing plant. These include, but are not limited to: Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Electrical Safety, ArcFlash, Elevated Working Surfaces, Hazard Communication (SDS), Hot Work, and Process Safety Management Repairs, maintains, and installs plant's machines and equipment. Performs electrical/electronic maintenance, construction, layout, installation, repairs and controls according to established practices and methods. Assembles, disassembles or installs mechanical, electrical/electronic equipment working from engineering drawings, field sketches, other related documents and verbal field instructions needed to perform assigned duties. Uses and operates tools and/or any equipment with proficiency in performing work of the craft. Reads and maintains electrical metering devices. Adjusts, repairs and replaces and faulty parts in plant machinery and equipment. Analyzes, troubleshoots and performs maintenance and repairs of any plant mechanical and/or electrical systems. Maintains and participates in the plant preventative maintenance programs. Cleans and maintains motors, pumps and parts. Complete required records and reports Rigs ladders and scaffolding necessary to accomplish assigned work. Moves equipment as required using powered or manually operated equipment assigned. Operates forklift and man lifts. Performs operator inspection of equipment; checks fluid levels and various component systems for malfunctions. Charges and changes batteries. Completes daily vehicle inspection form. Maintains and repairs plant building and grounds items (including but not limited to walls, floors, roofs, windows, drains, piping, roads, sidewalks, docks, etc.). Responds to production service calls. Applies protective coatings to equipment, floors, etc. Participates in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant. Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the Plant Engineer. Regular, consistent physical attendance. Ability to change and/or rotate shifts on an as needed basis. Performs all maintenance duties as required, including overtime as necessary to maintain and/or repair equipment. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
(include Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations required)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two year Electrical/Mechanical experience
  • PLC, Electrical, and/or Welding Training
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
(include computer, language, mathematical, and analytical skills required)
  • PC Literate, ability to effectively utilize email, Excel (spreadsheet), Word, and Maintscape Preventative Maintenance Program
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively to employees of the organization. Ability to work with, and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to forecasting and other practical situations. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to complete assigned tasks w/ minimal supervision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and will occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to vibration.
Pay:
$35.00 - $37.00 per hour
