Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Handyman/Carpenter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in renovation projects and a strong proficiency in one or more of the following areas: carpentry, drywall installation and repair, interior and exterior painting, or minor plumbing. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of tools and materials utilized in these trades, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients are essential. This position offers opportunities for growth and the potential to transition into a construction superintendent role, where you will oversee project timelines, manage subcontractors, and ensure that all work meets safety standards and client expectations. Projects will be in and around the Pittsburgh, PA area. Responsibilities Perform general maintenance, repair, and light renovation work on commercial construction projects Complete trim and structural carpentry, including doors, frames, base/casing, and light framing repairs. Handle drywall hanging, finishing (Level 4/5), and ceiling repairs. Execute minor plumbing and electrical tasks such as fixture replacements, outlet/switch repairs, and faucet installations. Prep, prime, and paint walls and trim to a professional finish. Assist with make-ready turns, punch lists, and small remodeling scopes. Safely operate hand and power tools while maintaining job-site cleanliness and safety. Communicate clearly with project managers and property managers. Manage time efficiently and complete assigned scopes within schedule and budget. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial repair, carpentry, drywall, or handyman services (4+ years preferred). Competence in at least one of the following: carpentry, drywall, paint, plumbing, or electrical. Reliable transportation, and valid driver's license. Ability to lift 50 lbs + and perform physically demanding work. Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and reliability. Knowledge of additional skills like tiling, flooring, or painting Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
