Red Roof Inn and HomeTowne Studios are seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our hotel properties safe, clean, comfortable, and operating efficiently. This position is responsible for completing routine maintenance, responding to guest-room and building repair needs, assisting with preventative maintenance, and helping ensure each property meets brand and guest-service standards. Responsibilities Perform general repairs in guest rooms, public areas, offices, and exterior areas Address maintenance requests involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, locks, lighting, drywall, painting, flooring, and minor carpentry Inspect guest rooms and common areas to identify repair or safety needs Complete preventative-maintenance tasks and maintain organized maintenance logs Assist with repairs and upkeep of laundry equipment, ice machines, water heaters, exterior lighting, doors, windows, and other hotel equipment Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance issues that may affect guests or hotel operations Help maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the building, parking areas, landscaping, and exterior grounds Coordinate with hotel management and outside vendors when needed Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and applicable local codes Be available for occasional emergency, weekend, or after-hours maintenance needs as required Qualifications Previous hotel, apartment, commercial-property, or general-maintenance experience preferred Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, and carpentry repairs Experience troubleshooting appliances and basic mechanical equipment is a plus Ability to use common hand and power tools safely Must be reliable, organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Professional communication skills and a guest-service mindset Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work including standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and working indoors and outdoors Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Must be authorized to work in the
