Wire and cable company in Lancaster, PA is looking for Electro-Mechanics and Maintenance Mechanics on night shift. Paying $30-45/hr and is a direct hire opportunity with the company. Job Description The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with the general maintenance and upkeep of equipment, building facilities, and grounds. The position requires strong interpersonal communication skills to foster teamwork, contribute to a positive culture, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Experience in industrial maintenance, including both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, is preferred. The role demands a safety-conscious individual who complies with all environmental, health, and safety procedures. Responsibilities Maintain machinery and support production operations in the facility. Trouble-shoot and repair various mechanical production equipment in the wire mill. Trouble-shoot PLC-based control systems and make component adjustments and/or repairs. Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance procedures, maintain records, and update files as necessary. Collaborate with production in troubleshooting and scheduling preventative maintenance and equipment repairs. Report to Maintenance Supervisor and production regarding work completed. Assist with safety compliance inspections and maintain operating certificates such as boiler and pressure vessel certificates. Analyze equipment failures, determine causes, and make necessary adjustments and repairs. Perform a variety of skilled work in the maintenance and repair of manufacturing facilities, buildings, and grounds. Read mechanical and electrical drawings and identify parts on BOMs. Understand and experience in 120/240/480 VAC single and multi-phase systems. Assist with safety practices and procedures and adhere to applicable codes and regulations. Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure timely reporting and ordering. Essential Skills Three years of experience in industrial maintenance, including mechanical equipment and electrical troubleshooting. Basic knowledge and understanding of PLC and motor controls. Basic understanding of electrical and PLC components for troubleshooting. Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to understand and interpret complex written and oral instructions. Experience with VFDs and motor controls is highly preferred. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Driver's License required, with potential travel between Lancaster and Denver Plant. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Education and training beyond high school level in general maintenance and repair. Formal training in related fields can substitute for one year of experience. Ability to operate material moving and packaging equipment. Why Work Here? The work environment includes normal temperatures, but it can get very hot around the furnace, requiring specialized PPE. The position involves working a 3rd shift from 7 pm to 7 am with a 4,3,4 schedule, including work every other Saturday. The plant environment may involve light to moderate noise levels, exposure to moving mechanical parts, and airborne particles. Physical requirements include lifting/moving up to 50 lbs, repetitive reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, and the ability to work in variable temperatures and weather conditions. Steel toe shoes are required. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Denver, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62400.00
