Job Description

The Department of Animal Biotechnology and Conservation seeks part-time instructors for the fall/ spring semester to teach in the Small Animal Science program during the day.
Courses include:
Introduction to Animal Care and Management (laboratory and lecture), Basic Small Animal Handling and Husbandry (laboratory and lecture), Small Animal Technical Skills (lecture and lab) and Senior Seminars. Candidates must possess an appropriate Master's degree (Ph.D. or
D.V.M./V.M.D.
preferred) or Laboratory Animal work experience and AALAS certification and experience teaching at the college level. Candidates with out-of-field degrees must have earned a minimum of 15 graduate credits in the area of teaching assignment. Selected applicants will be responsible for providing the University with clearances, appropriate to the position, that have been completed within the last 5 years. These clearances could include but are not limited to: Pennsylvania Patch, FBI Fingerprints completed by IDENTGO, and the Child Abuse History clearance.
