Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance across various systems, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable environment that supports our production goals and facility integrity. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, HVAC units, and facility infrastructure to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety compliance. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults accurately. Perform electrical repairs including wiring, circuit troubleshooting, and component replacements while adhering to safety standards. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes and troubleshoot control system issues effectively. Execute welding tasks for repairs or fabrication projects using appropriate techniques and safety precautions. Support facilities maintenance activities such as plumbing repairs, painting (including residential painting), carpentry, and general upkeep of the premises. Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams to guide repairs or installations. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule upcoming tasks. Supervise or assist with team projects when needed, demonstrating leadership qualities in coordinating tasks or mentoring junior staff. Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring proper use of tools and equipment. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial settings. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in troubleshooting machinery and systems. Electrical experience including wiring, circuit testing with ohmmeters, and working with control systems such as PLCs. Skilled in welding techniques for repair or fabrication purposes. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and reading blueprints or diagrams. Experience with CMMS software for work order management is preferred. Supervising or leadership experience is a plus, demonstrating the ability to coordinate tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members. Knowledge of residential painting techniques is desirable but not mandatory; a willingness to support diverse maintenance tasks is essential.
