A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventative and routine maintenance and the upkeep of residential buildings, grounds and equipment to maintain a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.
Qualifications:
Valid PA Driver's License required
Formal or on-the-job training in plumbing, electrical, painting, maintenance, carpentry and general repair preferred
Two years of related experience preferred
Able to work independently or as part of a team
Effectively read and interpret documents and instructions
Capacity to effectively troubleshoot and problem solve
Responsibilities and Expectations:
Complete all general maintenance of the community (basic plumbing, electrical, drywall repair, unit inspections, painting, work orders, carpentry and maintenance support).
Perform preventative maintenance.
