Job Description
DICK'S Sporting Goods Distribution Center seeks a Maintenance Tech II to keep our high-volume wholesale operation running safely and efficiently. In this hands-on role, you'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, sorters, dock equipment, building systems, and material-handling gear. You'll troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues, support safety and LOTO procedures, and minimize downtime in a fast-paced environment. Work closely with operations and fellow techs in a team-oriented, growth-focused culture that values reliability, safety, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, sorters, and material-handling equipment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime Inspect, maintain, and repair dock equipment and building/facility systems Follow and promote safety standards, including lockout/tagout and OSHA guidelines Use CMMS to document work orders, parts usage, and maintenance history Collaborate with operations and maintenance team to prioritize repairs and projects Support continuous improvement initiatives for reliability and equipment performance Assist with installation, modification, and upgrades of equipment and systems Required Skills Industrial equipment maintenance Conveyor systems troubleshooting Electrical systems (480 V/3-phase) basics PLC familiarity Preventive maintenance HVAC/R basics Welding and fabrication Hydraulics and pneumatics Blueprint and schematic reading CMMS software usage
