Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes.
Responsibilities:
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility's electrical and mechanical equipment. Plan, layout, install and repair a wide variety of complex electrical equipment including automatic machine and process controls, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, electronic controls, and PLC's. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective control modules, test and make adjustments. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and plant facilities including air compressors, nitrogen lines, and lighting systems. Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma and preferably Technical/Trade School Certificate or Degree. Prior involvement in fabrication and steel service center required. Successful completion of an electrical apprenticeship program preferred. Training in general safety, lock-out tag-out, forklift operation, electrostatic discharge awareness, and foreign object damage awareness.
