Job Description

Clemens Food Group is hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic II to help keep our manufacturing equipment operating safely and reliably. In this hands-on role, you'll troubleshoot and repair conveyors, chain drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other mechanical equipment. You'll work independently on routine repairs, respond to equipment breakdowns, and help less-experienced mechanics develop their skills. What You'll Do Install, align, track, and repair conveyor systems, including V-belts, timing belts, and modular belts Maintain chain drives, tensioners, and lubrication systems Inspect, diagnose, and replace worn or failing mechanical components Perform fabrication and mechanical work, including drilling, tapping, mounting, and basic welding Install, repair, and adjust hydraulic and pneumatic components, including cylinders, valves, regulators, and flow controls Complete preventive-maintenance tasks and mechanical inspections Troubleshoot equipment failures using systematic problem-solving and root-cause analysis Read mechanical schematics, equipment drawings, and technical manuals Respond promptly to breakdowns and help restore operations safely Document completed maintenance and repair work accurately Provide guidance and hands-on support to less-experienced mechanics Follow Lockout/Tagout and all applicable safety procedures What We're Looking For Approximately 2-4 years of industrial or mechanical maintenance experience Hands-on experience with conveyor systems, chain drives, and mechanical assemblies Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems Ability to troubleshoot mechanical failures with limited supervision Experience with preventive maintenance and proper lubrication practices Ability to read mechanical and hydraulic schematics Fabrication, machining, or welding experience Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is preferred.
