Job Description
Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh Area Beaver Valley is searching for a Maintenance Technician to join their team. Enjoy competitive benefits, PTO, holidays, and paid training. This position is responsible the preventative maintenance and care of the hotel. The position will provide an attractive, clean, safe, and secure building by handling minor mechanical, maintenance, security and other matters regarding the hotel in a systematic manner. They will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of all interior and exterior lighting, ice machines, guest room repairs and troubleshooting HVAC and plumbing. Essential Functions of the position may include, but are not limited to the following: Perform all assigned preventative maintenance work on guest rooms and equipment and record all the work done. Keep proper records and reports. Assess and complete maintenance work orders Use all safety requirements when operating machinery. Provide lawn service by mowing and weed control measure to maintain professional curb appeal. Always follow all MSDS and OSHA requirements. Keep all working areas clean and in orderly condition. Keep all tools and supplies secure and organized. Clean sidewalks and entrances to the hotel of ice and snow, when necessary. Aid other team members to contribute to the smooth operation of the department and hotel. Including laundry, housekeeping, breakfast, and front desk. Perform all duties as required and other tasks as assigned while following good housekeeping habits and safe work practices. Assist department in issuing and receiving all incoming projects. Complete any special cleaning projects as assigned. Deep cleaning carpets as scheduled. Polish, dust, and shine surfaces. Clean glass indoors and throughout the hotel. Clean and wax appropriate floor surfaces. Act as an expeditor between the housekeeping department and housekeepers. Required Skills Minimum of 2 years general maintenance experience preferred. Candidate should have basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
