Job Description

Maintenance Technician Job Summary:
The Horsham Center for Jewish Life is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. Located in picturesque North Wales, Pennsylvania, our 70+ acre campus offers a unique environment for seniors to thrive. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and renovations to our buildings, equipment, and grounds. Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and renovations to buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure safe and efficient operation Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems Maintain and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other building systems Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions and breakdowns Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure seamless delivery of services Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used Participate in on-call rotation for emergency repairs
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or degree in a related field preferred 1+ year of experience in maintenance or a related field Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders or scaffolding as needed Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems Strong communication and teamwork skills
