Job Description
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the preventative maintenance on all equipment and repairs of all production equipment as needed.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service . Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs as needed. Performs Maintenance Technician duties including, but not limited to, Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines (as well as facility repair) Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service Be an advocate for safe work habits, and a safe work environment by following, and enforcing company standards, GMPs, PPE requirements, and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, management, team members, and other departments. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED required Degree or certification in maintenance, or a minimum of 3 years experience in a maintenance role Two or more years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong technical experience with the ability to quickly learn new programs and applications to support the operations Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Effective communication/presentation skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Possess high professional ethics, dependability, good judgment, and the ability to take decisive action General Professional Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English (bilingual a plus) Able to read wiring diagrams and technical drawings for troubleshooting Commitment to excellence and high standards Takes pride in doing good work, and has a positive attitude.COMPETENCIES
