Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery and equipment. The role involves inspecting mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and repairing various equipment, as well as assembling and testing new machinery. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain detailed maintenance logs. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment. Repair and replace components such as motors, pumps, bearings, belts, and valves to minimize downtime. Assemble, test, and inspect machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments. Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and maintenance best practices. Essential Skills Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance environments. Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation. Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with industrial equipment. Experience maintaining and repairing conveyor systems. Proficiency in welding and PLC troubleshooting. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work at a West Chester facility with a team of 50 employees, including 7 in the maintenance department. The company culture is driven by scientists, specialists, and technicians. Safety is a priority; therefore, safety shoes/boots (steel-toed) are required on the production floor. The standard work hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chester, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
