Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic position requires a skilled maintenance mechanic to inspect and repair material handling equipment and minor building repairs. Will follow corporate and site specific. Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate. Performs equipment setup, operation, tests, calibrations, adjustments, and minor preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment. Maintains production machines and equipment, and cleans equipment, and ensures work floor are clean, safe and well maintained. Assembles, and tests all components to ensure all equipment is for safe and in working order before they are put into production.
Shift:
Weekday 1st shift-Wednesday - Saturday 7am- 530 pm Salary range $25 per hour + $1.50 shift differential
Requirements:
Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines. Sound understanding of using all electrical testing and repair of Material Handling equipment. Ability to use efficiently various power and hand tools. Ability to operate a forklift. Should follow oral or written instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships. High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education Ability to stand, walk, bend, extend, reach, and twist for long periods of time.
