Our premier Reserve, Vermejo , is currently seeking a Hospitality Maintenance Technician / Public Area Attendant to help maintain the safety, functionality, cleanliness, and presentation of our guest facilities and public spaces across 560,000 acres.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Hospitality Maintenance Technician / Public Area Attendant, you will support both the operational maintenance needs and the overall presentation of Vermejo s guest facilities and public spaces. This hybrid role is responsible for maintaining luxury hospitality standards through facility upkeep, preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and guest service support. You will also be responsible for: Hospitality Maintenance Technician Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of guest accommodations, lodges, offices, and facilities. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance issues. Respond promptly to maintenance requests through the work order system. Operate and maintain maintenance equipment, power tools, and some heavy machinery safely and effectively. Monitor and test water systems to ensure compliance with quality standards. Assist with landscaping, groundskeeping, and exterior facility maintenance. Support annual deep cleaning projects and off-season employee housing maintenance. Maintain safe working conditions and follow all company safety procedures. Participate in rotating on-call responsibilities and respond to operational emergencies as needed. Report facility deficiencies and coordinate repairs with management. Perform all other duties as assigned. Public Area Attendant Responsibilities Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of offices, lodges, verandas, walkways, and all guest public areas. Ensure all public-facing spaces meet Vermejo s luxury hospitality standards. Patrol guest walkways and common areas to ensure they remain clean, safe, and free of debris. Coordinate laundering of linens and schedule cleaning of office spaces. Support cleanliness and setup for on-site and off-site guest events. Serve as a guest liaison when needed and respond professionally to guest requests. Coordinate with the Front Office regarding arrivals, departures, stay-overs, and event schedules. Attend weekly planning meetings with department managers regarding events and operational needs. Stay informed on eco-friendly cleaning products and proper hazardous material handling. Report guest concerns and maintenance issues to management promptly. Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff. Perform all other duties as assigned.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
Minimum of 2 years of maintenance, facilities, housekeeping, or hospitality operations experience. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance repairs. Basic carpentry and painting skills. Ability to identify and resolve maintenance and cleanliness issues quickly and efficiently. Strong attention to detail with commitment to cleanliness and presentation standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and guest service skills. This position requires operation of vehicles, and you ll need to possess a valid driver s license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment. Your driving record will need to meet the standards and requirements of the Company and the Company s insurance provider. You ll need to present documentation establishing both identity and employment authorization within three days of hire pursuant to federal law.
Preferred:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience with Microsoft Office. EPA or HVAC certification preferred; willingness to obtain additional certifications as needed. Experience working in a luxury hospitality setting. Knowledge of environmentally responsible cleaning products and procedures.

ACCOMMODATIONS
This position will require you to live on Vermejo headquarters, located approximately 40 miles from the closest town (Raton, NM). Vermejo s location is approximately 4.5 hours drive south of Denver or 4.5 hours drive north of Albuquerque. Vermejo offers single- and double-bedroom dorm room style company housing (subject to availability). You may be subject to sharing a room with one other employee depending on the availability of a single dorm room. You will need to provide or arrange for your own transportation to and from Raton for personal supplies.

On a regular basis, you can expect to: Stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more. Perform physical labor for extended periods of time. Be on your feet for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. You may be frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions; work near moving mechanical parts; outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat. You will occasionally be exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
