JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance & Event Support Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall physical condition and appearance of the hotel while providing technical support for meetings and events. This hybrid role ensures guest rooms and public areas are well-maintained and that all audio-visual (AV) requirements are executed seamlessly to support an exceptional guest and client experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- General Maintenance (70%)
  • Perform routine repairs in guest rooms and public areas, including plumbing and electrical work.
  • Complete interior maintenance tasks such as drywall patching, caulking, and painting.
  • Conduct Preventative Maintenance (PM) in Guest Rooms and Public Areas.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and work orders.
  • Assist with exterior upkeep and maintain tools/work areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Event & AV Support (30%)
  • Set up and break down AV equipment for meetings and events.
  • Assist guests with HDMI, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity.
  • Perform pre-event tech checks.
  • Troubleshoot AV and connectivity issues.
  • Maintain AV inventory and assist with equipment transport.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
1-2 years in maintenance or AV support.
Skills:
Tools knowledge, basic building systems, AV familiarity, communication skills.
Availability:
Flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work on ladders and in confined spaces.
  • Manual dexterity for tools and equipment.
