Endurance Services is hiring an experienced technician to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team for two seasonal maintenance rounds per year. We service innovative/alternative (I/A) septic systems — primarily Fuji Clean aerobic treatment units — across coastal Rhode Island. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in the wastewater industry and a working understanding of how septic systems, both conventional and alternative, reduce wastewater strength.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete 5-7 routine maintenance and inspection visits per day, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Maintain a deep working knowledge of Fuji Clean and other advanced septic technologies and how they reduce wastewater strength. Know the name and function of every septic system component well enough to operate the system effectively. Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues in the field. Communicate issues to your team lead clearly and promptly. Complete inspection reports using the mobile application we provide during training.
Requirements:
Driver's License — Active driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record. Septic Experience — Hands-on and educational experience with septic or wastewater treatment systems. Hand Tool Experience — Proven ability to safely operate small hand and power tools (drill, Sawzall, screwdrivers, shovel, pliers). Physical Requirements — Ability to safely and effectively locate and expose septic components, and to carry up to 35 lbs of equipment to and from the service vehicle at each site. Work Ethic — Strong work ethic and team-player mentality, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership. Customer Focus — Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You'll represent us on every visit and should present as friendly and qualified. Technology — An internet-connected smartphone and the ability to use a simple mobile app to log service visit details and file reports with customers.
Training:
New technicians complete a two-week paid training period (longer if needed). You'll demonstrate the ability to carry out all job requirements before being assigned routine service visits on your own.
