This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with a variety of equipment, engines, and machinery used in Landscaping services and construction. Yardman duties include making material deliveries and pick-ups, customer materials loading etc. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for mechanical work and a proactive attitude to ensure equipment operates at peak performance and customer needs are satisfied. If you thrive in a team setting and enjoy troubleshooting and repairing small engines and related equipment, this position is perfect for you! Duties Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on small engines, including lawnmowers, line trimmers, blowers, and other outdoor power equipment including trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively Conduct heavy lifting of equipment and parts safely to facilitate repairs and maintenance tasks Use hand tools, power tools, and other specialized tools accurately Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and inventory of parts and tools Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks when necessary, including basic automotive repairs or diesel engine servicing Support the yard operations by organizing equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and assisting with sales or customer service as needed Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on small engine repair or equipment maintenance Service technician background highly preferred Strong understanding of schematics, electrical systems, and mechanical components of various machinery Experience repairing diesel engines or heavy equipment such as Bobcat and Hyundai machinery is advantageous Familiarity with automotive service maintenance techniques and heavy lifting safety procedures Knowledge of welding, soldering, and electrical troubleshooting techniques a major plus Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate clearly Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to excellence in equipment repair and customer satisfaction.
