Stark Truss was founded in 1963 and is a leading manufacturer and supplier of wood components for the construction industry . With over 60 years of experience supplying large multi-family and commercial developments, single family track and custom homes, agricultural buildings. Our construction product line includes roof and floor trusses, wall panels, laminated veneer lumber (LVL), I-joists, light-gauge steel trusses, glulam posts, pre-built stairs, Stark Lam beams and connector hardware. Stark Truss Co Inc/Trussco Mfg. is currently seeking a maintenance technician and yardman to join our team at our North Kingstown RI Quonset Point Location . The maintenance technician and yardman will need to have a background of preventative maintenance on machinery and other maintenance functions. This candidate will also be operating a forklift, while helping to load and unload trucks. Forklift training will take place on the job. Must be organized, be able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure, work both efficiently and effectively to service and maintain plant equipment.

Compensation:

Starting wage from $22 per hour based on experience plus overtime and attendance bonus. Attendance bonus is $150 for perfect attendance for 2 weeks and an additional $175 every 4 weeks ($475 per month).

Schedule:

Monday•Friday 6AM•2PM, Occasional Overtime Daily and Saturdays 6AM-11

Essential Functions:

Mechanical Maintenance•Working with Conveyors, Hydraulics, Nomadic Air, Automated Saw/CNC/equipment Preventative Machine Maintenance Lifting/moving/unloading oversized material Safely operate a chain saw and run banding tool

Qualifications:

Experience in machinery maintenance Forklift experience is preferred but not required

Skills:

Machine/General Equipment Maintenance, Shop Maintenance, Light Vehicle Repair, Light Semi-Truck Repair and Maintenance, PM Oil Changes, Greasing, Welding a plus.
