Job Summary:
POSITION SUMMARY
Maintains and installs all systems for manufacturing and building, primarily but not limited to: Climate control systems Water systems Tower systems Facility machinery Air compressors Conveyor systems Air conditioning units Maintains facility outside grounds as needed. Works from work orders, prints, schematics, drawings, verbal orders, and communication. Valid health card required.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Diagnoses problems with new and old systems and performs required repairs. Performs preventative maintenance on systems and machines. Submits purchase orders for approval. Recommends replacement machinery and systems. Installs new machinery from prints and directions. Ensures that all fire and emergency systems are in proper working order. Performs all service to include plumbing, welding, carpentry, and basic electricity. Ensures that the facility and production water systems are treated with chemicals as required. Provides calibration and verification of systems. Cleans and inspects HVAC systems to ensure proper working order. The Facilities Maintenance A person is also responsible for the restoring of office equipment. Inspects and tests all lighting and emergency lighting. Inspects roofs and drains for blockage. Performs snow removal functions including parking lot prep, shoveling, snow-blower operation, and plowing. Maintains a neat and orderly work area, keeping walkways and aisles clear. Performs general housekeeping duties such as sweeping and trash removal. When work in primary classification is not available, may perform other duties according to skill and availability.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Except when on vacation, is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. High level of exposure to high-voltage systems; works in conjunction with electrician.
