Responsibilities Perform comprehensive floor cleaning using appropriate equipment and techniques, including scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance. Handle various cleaning agents and chemical products safely, following all safety protocols related to chemical agent handling and environmental services. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, waxers, carpet cleaners, and floor polishers efficiently to achieve optimal results. Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of cleaning supplies, equipment, or furniture to ensure thorough cleaning coverage. Maintain cleanliness of all flooring surfaces across the facility's common areas, hallways, resident rooms, and other designated spaces. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by properly storing cleaning chemicals and using personal protective equipment during all tasks. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests for cleaning assistance while maintaining a respectful and professional demeanor. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or healthcare environments with a focus on floor care. Knowledge of floor cleaning chemicals, floor buffing, waxing, refinishing techniques, and carpet cleaning methods. Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
