A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
Monday-Friday | Full-Time We are seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our extended-stay hotel team. This position is responsible for helping keep our guest rooms, common areas, grounds, equipment, and overall property in excellent working condition. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can handle a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks, communicates effectively in English, stays organized, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning property. Responsibilities Perform general hotel maintenance and repairs Complete interior and exterior painting and touch-ups Perform light plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, and minor leaks Perform basic/light electrical troubleshooting and repairs Assist with HVAC-related maintenance and troubleshooting Diagnose, maintain, and perform minor repairs on PTAC units Complete scheduled preventive maintenance in guest rooms and throughout the property Identify maintenance concerns before they become larger or more costly repairs Perform basic repairs to walls, doors, fixtures, furniture, and other hotel equipment Perform groundskeeping duties , including keeping exterior areas, walkways, parking areas, landscaping, and property grounds clean and well maintained Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest-room issues Perform janitorial duties and assist with maintaining the cleanliness of common areas, grounds, maintenance areas, and other areas of the property as needed Maintain tools, equipment, parts, and maintenance supplies in a clean and organized manner Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance and completed repairs Follow hotel safety procedures and report any safety or property concerns to management Assist with other property-related duties as needed Qualifications Previous hotel, apartment, facilities, or general maintenance experience preferred Experience diagnosing and repairing PTAC units is strongly preferred Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, groundskeeping, and general repairs Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate solutions Must be dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple maintenance priorities Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests, staff, management, and vendors Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the workday Good communication, organization, and time-management skills Ability to safely use common hand and power tools Ability to perform physical work, including standing, bending, climbing, lifting, carrying, and working outdoors as needed Must take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and guest-ready property What We Offer Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule $18 + per hour , depending on experience Consistent work schedule Variety of daily responsibilities Stable position in the hospitality industry We are looking for someone who is reliable, proactive, organized, and takes ownership of the property's maintenance needs .
