Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM | Friday, 7:30 AM-11:30 AM Position Summary Aiken Staffing is hiring a Property Maintenance Technician for a property management company in the Edgefield, SC area. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential to become a permanent position based on company needs and individual performance. The ideal candidate will be dependable, hands-on, and comfortable performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks at residential properties. Previous property maintenance experience is preferred, but not required. Experience with plumbing, HVAC, painting, apartment turns, emergency repairs, and septic systems is preferred. Candidates with strong general maintenance, handyman, or residential repair experience are encouraged to apply. Must be comfortable troubleshooting problems and working independently. Must be dependable and able to take ownership of assigned maintenance tasks. Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repair duties at residential properties. Complete apartment turns and prepare units for new residents. Perform basic plumbing repairs and maintenance, including sinks, toilets, fixtures, drains, and related components. Perform basic HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting. Complete painting, drywall repairs, patching, and other general cosmetic repairs. Perform maintenance and repairs on doors, locks, handles, fixtures, and other property components. Respond to emergency maintenance requests and address repairs in a timely manner. Assist with septic system maintenance and troubleshooting. Inspect properties and identify maintenance issues or needed repairs. Troubleshoot maintenance problems and determine appropriate repair solutions. Use hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment safely and effectively. Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas. Communicate maintenance concerns, repairs, and property issues as needed. Complete assigned maintenance tasks independently and in a timely manner. Perform other property maintenance duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Previous property maintenance experience preferred. Experience in residential maintenance, apartment maintenance, apartment turns, handyman work, or general building maintenance preferred. Experience with plumbing, HVAC, painting, and general repairs. Experience with septic systems preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Comfortable using hand tools and power tools. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Dependable and reliable work history. Strong attention to detail. Good communication skills and professional attitude. Requirements Ability to perform a variety of general property maintenance and repair tasks. Basic working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, painting, and general maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic maintenance issues. Ability to work independently and prioritize assigned tasks. Ability to work indoors and outdoors as required. Valid driver's license preferred/required as applicable to the position. Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach as needed to perform maintenance duties.
